My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands by Chelsea HandlerTRADE PAPERBACKIn this raucous collection of true-life stories, actress and comedian Chelsea Handler recounts her time spent in the social trenches with that wild, strange, irresistible, and often gratifying beast: the one-night stand. You've either done it or know someone who has: the one-night stand, the familiar outcome of a night spent at a bar, sometimes the sole payoff for your friend's irritating wedding, or the only relief from a disastrous vacation. Often embarrassing and uncomfortable, occasionally outlandish, but most times just a necessary and irresistible evil, the one-night stand is a social rite as old as sex itself and as common as a bar stool.Enter Chelsea Handler. Gorgeous, sharp, and anything but shy, Chelsea loves men and lots of them. My Horizontal Life chronicles her romp through the different bedrooms of a variety of suitors, a no-holds-barred account of what can happen between a man and a sometimes very intoxicated, outgoing woman during one night of passion. From her short fling with a Vegas stripper to her even shorter dalliance with a well-endowed little person, from her uncomfortable tryst with a cruise ship performer to her misguided rebound with a man who likes to play leather dress-up, Chelsea recalls the highs and lows of her one-night stands with hilarious honesty. Encouraged by her motley collection of friends (aka: her partners in crime) but challenged by her family members (who at times find themselves a surprise part of the encounter), Chelsea hits bottom and bounces back, unafraid to share the gritty details. My Horizontal Life is one guilty pleasure you won't be ashamed to talk about in the morning.
Family Affairs: Secrets of My Hollywood LifeJen Calonitatradepaperbackbrand newsealedHollywood secret number three:Want to know how hot a star is? Count their monthly red carpet appearances. The hotter the star, the fewer they make—that is, unless they have a movie or album to promote. When they're doing the publicity tour, all bets are off—a star may go to four events in one week just to gush about their incredible new project. Alexis is hitting the town to do just that. But if Alexis is still hogging the carpet nightly a month from now, that means her star wattage is going nowhere. True A-list stars don't have to go to an opening of an animal shelter or talk about their favorite lip gloss. They know the real way to keep in the public’s good graces is to sit home on their $5,000 couches and be as elusive as Johnny Depp.

Album Notes
Eno was a key figure in the development of Talking Heads, producing some of their most innovative albums. This collaboration with head Head Byrne built on the sonic ground the two had already broken together via their well established working relationship. The pair couldn't have known how influential MY LIFE IN THE BUSH OF GHOSTS would be in the next two decades.Deconstructing the avant-funk of the Heads' REMAIN IN LIGHT, Byrne and Eno recorded polyrhythmic backing tracks similar to that effort. Instead of creating lyrics or melodies to lay over them, the duo turned to "found sounds" and voices, looping everything from radio talk show conversations to Muslim chants atop the rhythm bed, before anyone even knew what a sampler was. The subsequent impact on everything, from electronica to World music to whatever Bill Laswell is doing this week, was inestimable. The most important thing is that all this high-minded studio wizardry works on a very immediately satisfying level.

My Choco
Researchers have discovered that chemicals found in chocolate are
beneficial to health. Theobromine is rich in antioxidants. Stearic acid
helps prevent build-up of cholesterol, lessening symptoms of high-blood
pressure. One of the major building blocks of the brain, the
omega-3 fatty acid docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is critical for optimal
brain health and function at all ages of life. Researchers are now finding that DHA provides brain-boosting benefits in infants and aging adults.
My Choco is a chocolate beverage fortified with DHA and infused with
Complete Phyto-Energizer. It is the only chocolate drink served today
that preserves the true richness of chocolate with the addition of great
health benefits.

Title: My Life (Vol 2 – The Presidential Years)Author: Bill ClintonFormat: Mass Market PaperbackCondition: Very Good - light spine creasingPrice: P100Synopsis: Here is the life of a great national and international figure, revealed with all his talents and contradictions, told openly, directly, in his own completely recognizable voice. A unique book by a unique American.
$ 55.00
This book began as a list designer Stefan Sagmeister made in his diary under the title Things I have learned in my life so far, which includes statements such as "Worrying solves nothing" and "Trying to look good limits my life." The list reveals something that is profoundly true: Although human beings have been pursuing happiness for countless generations, it is not so easily achieved. And we need constant reminders to keep us on the right path.
With the support of his clients, Sagmeister transformed these sentences into typographic works, from billboards in France to
sign-toting inflatable monkeys on the streets of Scotland. Accompanied by essays from design historian Steven Heller, Guggenheim chief curator Nancy Spector, and UK psychologist Daniel Nettle, as well as Sagmeister's own words, the series is revealed as a complex blend of personal revelation, art, and design--an eclectic mix of visual audacity and sound advice.
This book consists of 15 unbound signatures in a laser-cut slipcase. Shuffling the sequence of the signatures will produce 15 different covers.
