MF-1 works perfect with Shoe Mount Flash and all other photography stuff with ISO 518 hot shoe. Having built-in 1/4" brass socket, it can be easily installed on standard studio light stand. It does not work for Minolta flash or any flash for Sony Alpha system because they do not use ISO 518 hot shoe interface.
