- Causes of skin darkening -
Cause #1: Shaving.
When you shave or depilate (depilatory creams) you cut the hairs off at, or just below, the surface of the skin. If your hairs are slightly darker than your skin color, they can give the appearance that your skin has a dark stain when it`s really just sub-surface hair.
What To Do About It: Stop shaving and try waxing so you get rid of the hair below the skin surface. Since the hairs aren’t lurking so close to the top of your skin, they won’t be as visible
Depilatory creams have harmful chemicals to dissolve hair, heated wax promotes skin darkening and can scald skin..lastly, plucking takes a long time to do (and can damage your eyesight).
Cause #2: Build up of dead skin cells.
According to at least one dermatolgist, dark spots under your arms are the result of dead skin cells that are trapped in microscopic “hills and valleys” on your skin.
What To Do About It: Exfoliate once a week, use a gentle whitening scrub. Too much scrubbing can also damage the underarms.
Cause #3: Antiperspirant and deodorant usage.
In theory, some ingredients in these products reacting with the skin to cause discoloration.
What To Do About It: Try switching brands or using a deodorant instead of an antiperspirant.Avoid using deodorants with strong fragrances and "Aluminum Zirconium" , it darkens the skin! Solid deos usually have this. Use deodorants with herbal extracts that will help smoothen your underarms (ex. sunflower oil/chamomile oil). If you prioritize on skin whitening the use deos with (gluta, calamansi, papaya, vit. c or kojic)
Additional advise:
You can use Emu oil after waxing and every night as part of your skin care regimen. It has anti-bacterial properties and can hasten skin healing. It's non-comedogenic so it won't clog pores. But mostly, linoleic & oleic acids will smoothen you underarms..thus LESS CHICKEN SKIN!

HOW TO USE:
Use whitening soap everyday during bath.
Use whitening scrub 2-3 times a week during bath.
Use bleaching powder everynight before bedtime.
Bleaching powder- After washing your underarms use one fourth (1/4) or half (1/2) a teaspoon of the powder, add 3-5 drops of distilled water or milk to mix and make a paste. Apply on your underarms and leave for 15-20 min. Then rinse or wipe with a wet towel. Apply whitening cream or Emu oil.
Whitening Cream or Emu oil – Apply on clean skin every night. Use it before your deodorant during the day, if desired.
Whitening apricot scrub – Use 2-3 times a week. Massage on wet skin for 3min. then rinse.
Is it effective?
YES. But you should use it religously and follow instructions on how to fight the causes of skin darkening on your underarms. Ex. DON'T SHAVE!

How long does it take to see the actual effect?
